This is a Architectural design for a 12-Ft dome designed as an observation feature in a residenrts above the G. Paul Getty Center in the Santa Monica mountains . Carlson and Carlson was contracted to work on this estate in designing the structural fabrication.

It is a structural welded assembly of 4" x 4"x 1/4" wall formed steel tubing.

Calculating the weight for loads and the sizing of the tubing members was a critical design issue in its development.
